Cheryl is an ANCC board-certified family nurse practitioner (FNP) and is currently in the process of obtaining board certification in psychiatry and mental health.
She earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a Master of Science in Nursing – Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Illinois State University.
Cheryl brings compassion and empathy mixed with an easy-going communication style and a touch of humor. She enjoys working with people of all backgrounds and is currently accepting new clients age 12-64.
She is trained to diagnose, treat, and prescribe medication for adults, adolescents, and children. Some of her practice specialties include (but are not limited to) depression, anxiety, panic attacks, ADHD, self-harm, bipolar disorder, and insomnia.
While Cheryl primarily focuses on medication management, she believes in a mind-body-social-spiritual connection and that we are fearfully and wonderfully made in the image of God as a whole person, not just a series of parts. She believes the best solution for improving mental health combines medication, counseling/psychotherapy, supportive relationships, lifestyle modification, nutrition, exercise, mindfulness, and stress management.
