Our next scheduled meeting of BOOST! will feature Rick Owens speaking on RESPECT: Common words with uncommon consequences. Rick’s presentation will examine the qualities of leadership he has learned to respect in his years of experience while working 25 years in Learning and Development at State Farm (retired), as a high school teacher and basketball coach for over 40 years, leading his teams to 504 total wins, 3 conference championships, and 3 teams to state tournaments. Rick is in his 4th career as Director of Guest Services at Eastview Christian Church. Those who know Rick will recognize him as a leader and someone who has certainly earned respect. Rick has been a mentor and personal coach to many throughout his career.
We will be meeting on November 6 from 7-8:30AM at the office of Truth in Love Counseling & Care at 808 Eldorado, Ste. 400, Bloomington. There will again be a light breakfast available from 7-7:30, including a time of networking, connecting, and sharing, with our main program running from 7:30-8:30. An RSVP is appreciated but not required so that we know how much food to provide.

Growing Through Grief is a place of healing for those impacted by the loss of someone they loved. Facilitated by Jordan Halpin, LPC, a licensed therapist from Truth in Love Counseling, the purpose of the group is to provide the opportunity for individuals who have experienced loss to come together to share their feelings and experiences in a safe and caring environment. Individuals will benefit from developing tools and strategies useful for negotiating this journey while receiving the understanding and encouragement of fellow group members. Individuals will learn about the dynamics of grief, its potential impact, and be helped to develop coping techniques to manage emotions and keep from being overwhelmed by the challenges related to their loss experience.
Growing Through Grief will take place at the office of Truth in Love Counseling on Wednesdays at 5 PM. The cost of the group is $30 per session.
