Truth In Love Events
Do you find yourself overcommitted? Are there people in your life you can’t say “no” to? Do you wish you had more time for self-care?
This Therapy workshop will help participants learn the value, principles and strategies for setting healthy boundaries in all your relationships, including yourself! We don’t just learn, we practice principles and strategies with each other to gain confidence in asserting our “no” in the real world.
This is a 3-hour workshop that meets on Saturday, January 18th, 9:00am-12pm in TiLC’s conference room. The group is facilitated by Carrie Bussmann, LCPC, founder of Truth in Love Counseling and boundaries expert. The cost of the workshop is $60. Call (309) 585-0241 to sign up, or click below.
We are very excited to be offering this 24 hour retreat for women who are leaders in ministry! Our presenters have both been employed by local churches and have experience in navigating the challenges that come with being a female leader in a male dominated leadership environment. They also have deep desire to facilitate spiritual rhythms in the lives of leaders so we can honor the position and calling to which the Lord has brought us.

Growing Through Grief is a place of healing for those impacted by the loss of someone they loved. Facilitated by Jordan Halpin, LPC, a licensed therapist from Truth in Love Counseling, the purpose of the group is to provide the opportunity for individuals who have experienced loss to come together to share their feelings and experiences in a safe and caring environment. Individuals will benefit from developing tools and strategies useful for negotiating this journey while receiving the understanding and encouragement of fellow group members. Individuals will learn about the dynamics of grief, its potential impact, and be helped to develop coping techniques to manage emotions and keep from being overwhelmed by the challenges related to their loss experience.
Growing Through Grief is currently building into a group. If you are interested, Jordan can work with individuals through grief until a full group is developed. Please contact us to get connected!
